General Information
  • Transportation is not​ provided. 
  • Due to The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Counselors and other school staff have no access to student grades and progress until we receive the Final Transcript. https://studentprivacy.ed.gov/faq/what-ferpa​

  • Many of our students choose to apply to dual enrollment programs at GSU or Georgia Tech
  • Am I a good fit for Dual Enrollment? 

Georgia State Update: Applications need to be submitted before transcripts are sent. To prevent registration delays, Transcripts need to be received at least 2-3 weeks prior to the application deadline. 
  • Student must submit AP scores to the college to receive credit

  • 1-2 Credit hours = 0.5 high school credits
  • 3-5 Credit hours = 1.0 high school credits
 
  • Students can take a Maximum of 3 dual enrollment credits during the summer.  GSU recommends fewer. 
​
  • Mr. Ingram MUST have a list of your courses in order to approve funding.  There is no method to approve funding without listing courses. Below is an image of the Counselor view.

If you have Dual Enrollment Questions, please email Mr. Ingram or see him in the morning from 7:30-8:10 by the PAW. 
Summer/Fall 2025
All students planning to take a Dual Enrollment Class, including those currently taking a Dual Enrollment class, should attend the Dual Enrollment Interest Meeting January 15th.

The deadline for Summer/Fall Dual Enrollment was 3/15/25
Mr. Ingram will hold the Information Meeting for Spring 2026 Dual Enrollment August 21st at 5pm. The Registration link is forthcoming. 
​Spring 2026 Dual Enrollment Deadline: October 15. 

In the Fall the State website crashed a week before the deadline.  Please do not wait until the last minute to submit. 
It is not recommended that students take Economics over the Summer 2025 term as the State is aligning standards with graduation requirements.
​The new Economics class that meets graduation requirements will be ECON 1101.

Dual Enrollment Checklist

GAfutures Funding Application - Everyone must complete as Summer begins the new 25-26 school year.  Opens February 1st.
Dual Enrollment Application - required for admission to the college -to prevent delays in registration, GSU requires that complete applications to be submitted 2 weeks before the deadline. 
Send any necessary AP scores through CollegeBoard. 

GAfutures Transcript request- If you are applying to the college request your transcript through GAfutures. 
DHS O365 Funding Request Form - Complete each semester -Available 1/16/25 through 3/15/25

Schedule Upload- Complete after your register for Dual Enrollment Classes.
